National Day Rehearsal

Andy booked a room at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia to celebrate Pauline's birthday which was coming up. From the room we had a great view of the National Day Rehearsal. The distance and the lack of light made it very difficult to get really nice pictures. Esther did a good job with the fireworks.

Saw some red tingkats hung as decorative elements at the food court at Marina Square. Thought that it was really interesting looking so I took a photo and edited it a bit with snapseed to give it that antique look.
GTX570 for the Mac Pro

The Mac Pro 4,1 has been upgraded with a used GTX570 which I brought for $130. A nice little upgrade that hopefully will do something for Perfect Photo Suite 8 which was the main cause for this upgrade. Apparently Perfect Photo Suite 8 relies on OpenGL. Genome size

We finally took the time to go to Snow City which is really close to our house. Esther was really upset during Chinese New Year for not being able to go there but we have finally gone there.

Cardboard dinosaur

Esther and I saw a cardboard dinosaur which was put together using cable ties. It is rather cool. This was after her art class at Fusionopolis.

Kids at the playground

The kids were at a playground at Bedok and I took the opportunity to shoot some pictures of them using the GX7 and 20mm 1.7. Shooting with a fast prime is always nice. The GX7 and the pancake prime makes for a very small package which is great for traveling.
