Old style ice cream

Saw one of those old style mobile ice cream vender and decided to get a ice cream sandwich. This is so retro. Still remember my parents calling this dirty ice cream when I was young. I am going to miss this once it is gone. Most of the venders are really old now.

While having dinner at a ramen place, Esther found out that they had paper bibs. So she asked for one and wore it while she had her noodles.

Esther having a bite of her favorite duck. Both Ernest and Esther absolutely love the duck that my mother makes. The duck is really delicious, moist and tasty.
Auspicious fanta orange

Fanta orange soda is a staple for Chinese New Year. But this year they introduced these really cute looking bottles which make them look like the mandarin oranges that we routinely give out. So cute and innovative of them.

The end of the year means some extra me time and as usual some changes to the machines. Got a NVIDIA GTX 970 for the Windows machine which means that the old GTX 670 has been moved to Ernest's HP XW6600 workstation replacing the original Quadro NVS 295 which is more for large 2D displays rather than ...
Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition

Ernest wanted to go to the Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition so we took the opportunity to do so on New Year's Eve. There was not too much to see but the huge Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were impressive. The kids watched a Transformer movie and did some fun art there.

Got the kids their first mobile phones. We shopped around and got the ASUS Zenphone 5 LTE. It was reasonably priced and was fast and well built.
Orchard road light up

This year, we decided to bring the kids to have a look at the Christmas light up in Orchard Road. There were a lot of people around and taking photos was a hassle but it was fun.
